Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Grant Danes got the match started through his kick off. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 7th minute of play forced Ombu's goalkeeper Agustin Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agustín Martegani struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ombu. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Lidon in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute Ombu were awarded a corner. Jeremias Ugaitz went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Jeremias Ugaitz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agustin Rossi having to interfere. Ombu's Agustin Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 25th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Agustin Rossi. Ombu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of play forced Ombu's goalkeeper Agustin Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ombu's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ombu's goalkeeper Agustin Rossi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ombu's Godfredo Mendez managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Primitivo Andino in the 44 minute of the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Ombu's Frans Lundgren was substituted for Valentin Lidon. Agustin Rossi made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Agustín Saelices sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 54th minute. After having played for 55 minutes, Felix Montes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Agustin Rossi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 61 minutes into the game, Frans Lundgren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ombu's Eusebio Cordarrel was substituted for Godfredo Mendez. Frans Lundgren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Ombu's goalkeeper Agustin Rossi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Frans Lundgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Primitivo Andino in the 86th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Ombu's Eusebio Cordarrel. Andres Fiz hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The Ombu support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
