After 5 minutes, Andy Cole made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Chile's Thiago Pliego tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mariano Lacasa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Egun Pais firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Chile's Guillermo Fontirroig got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 18th minute, Gerardo Pozo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute of the match Lokon Pøhl shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thiago Pliego showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Floresta Negra FC's Andy Cole in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Chile's Pedro Indiano to fire away a dangerous shot which Egun Pais despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Floresta Negra FC's Egun Pais proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Floresta Negra FC from getting a goal against them. 46 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Egun Pais narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 48 minutes, Orlando Casaus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Casaus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off in the second half. When Gerardo Pozo fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chile's protests and gave Gerardo Pozo a yellow card for diving instead. After 55 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Pozo. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Andy Cole sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Andy Cole tried to sneak it across the goal line. Floresta Negra FC's Egun Pais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 62nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Chile's Gerardo Pozo got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Floresta Negra FC made a substitution. Alexsandro Mandrak replaced Hector Bazkoare. Floresta Negra FC's Jardel Lewandowski was substituted for Andy Cole. Gerardo Pozo hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. Thiago Pliego was a little too slow when Jardel Lewandowski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 1-2. Mariano Lacasa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egun Pais having to interfere. In the 74th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egun Pais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lokon Pøhl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jardel Lewandowski in the 79thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Thiago Pliego, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Egun Pais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jardel Lewandowski's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Jardel Lewandowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gernando Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Jardel Lewandowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. In the 96th minute, Floresta Negra FC's Jardel Lewandowski dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Floresta Negra FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
