Julio Vera was a little too slow when Gustav Hybbert got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-1. Gustav Hybbert struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Skates. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustav Hybbert in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ola Lund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustav Hybbert in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustav Hybbert in the 38th minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 43rd minute of play forced The Skates's goalkeeper Jens-Ola Lund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Felix Montes hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustav Hybbert in the 53rd minute of play. In the 85th minute of the match The Skates got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kjell Fribäck ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Ragnar Biörling got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 3-1. 85 minutes into the match. When Ecuador's Luis Andino in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Skates's Kjell Fribäck was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ragnar Biörling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97thth minute of the game Gustav Hybbert who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. The Skates were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
