After a rather tough play, Caballo Loco's Leon Oriol got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Isidoro Sarmiento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís das Neves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Caballo Loco's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Luís das Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 80th minute of play forced Caballo Loco's goalkeeper Luís das Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Panama's Tomas Berganza got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Caballo Loco getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Leon Oriol hit a great ball. After having played for 90 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luís das Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 92nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Pan Song Yong kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Caballo Loco fans cheered their team off the field, for while Panama had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
