Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Frölundaboys's Richard Kalfhage started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Offendahl in the 3rd minute of play. Albert Skräddare kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Felix Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Claes Stenström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 12th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 15 minutes into the game, Johannes Elg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Frölundaboys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Johannes Elg hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute, Patrik Vestberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Claes Stenström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of the match. Claes Stenström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johannes Elg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Frölundaboys's zone, Felix Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claes Stenström came out of the goal and Felix Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claes Stenström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claes Stenström came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Roy Offendahl sent off a good shot on target. Leif Ekrot's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leif Ekrot helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of Frölundaboys:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ecuador:s goal. The referee gave Ecuador a penalty, 45 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Daniel Zorita, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Frölundaboys's Claes Stenström. 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. A collision led to Frölundaboys getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Richard Kalfhage hit a great ball. In the 55th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Claes Stenström however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Frölundaboys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Vennerlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Claes Stenström having to make a save. Patrik Vestberg kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claes Stenström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Claes Stenström came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 74th minute. In the 79th minute of the match, Felix Montenegro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Claes Stenström was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Claes Stenström. That made the score 0-5 after 83 minutes of play. In the 91st minute, Roy Offendahl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
