Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Julian Murillo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Emmanuel Reyes made in the 13th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Milagros Fraga immediately put the ball in play. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 15th minute. Eliseo Mina was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 17 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Chusca's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Mina came free, but Serafin Eate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Luz Tejedor got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Serafin Eate quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Serafin Eate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Peru's zone, Lauro Moreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal and Lauro Moreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th match minute, Club Atletico Chusca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristides Santo to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serafin Eate made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 32nd minute, Anthony Alvarado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulino Platon hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Serafin Eate made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Gayoso in the 38th minute of play. In the 43rd minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Eliseo Mina fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Serafin Eate quite easily take care of the ball. Richie Craig's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richie Craig helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Chusca's Richie Craig got a free kick in the 44th minute. After the first half Peru were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Club Atletico Chusca's Leonardo Gumaro was substituted for Baldomero Montae. In the 53rd minute of the match, Julian Murillo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Serafin Eate was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atletico Chusca's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lauro Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the game, Lauro Moreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 72 minutes, Eliseo Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Mina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serafin Eate read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Moreira in the 82nd minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Lauro Moreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lauro Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lauro Moreira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauro Moreira in the 94th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
