A collision led to OTTO FC - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Cauã Koehler hit a great ball. In the 6th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu Linares having to interfere. In the 18th match minute, OTTO FC - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Pinho to maneuver through the defense. Cafu Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dênis Prata during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th match minute, OTTO FC - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dênis Prata to maneuver through the defense. After 22 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cafu Linares was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 25 minutes, Valdir Magalhães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. OTTO FC - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdir Magalhães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cafu Linares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 31 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cafu Linares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Daniel Zorita scored 0-4 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cafu Linares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cafu Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 36th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Dênis Prata got a free kick in the 40th minute. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu Linares having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valdir Magalhães to make the kick off. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Cafu Linares made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in OTTO FC - FSCMZ's zone, Felix Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cafu Linares came out of the goal and Felix Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cafu Linares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when OTTO FC - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Cafu Linares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Dênis Prata was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 62 minutes had been played. In the 63rd minute, Dênis Prata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Valdir Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Cafu Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cafu Linares came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. After some careless play in the OTTO FC - FSCMZ defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cafu Linares. The OTTO FC - FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cafu Linares should have stopped the shot. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cafu Linares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 80th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cafu Linares, 0-7. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Cafu Linares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than OTTO FC - FSCMZ.
