When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Julian Murillo put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Carlos Claris. In the 36th play minute Naim Cheche came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rolando Noboa. 2-2. Carlos Claris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 39th minute of the match. Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Claris having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Naim Cheche to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Peru's zone, Naim Cheche stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal and Naim Cheche tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Super Penalitop made a substitution. Jacob Dantas replaced Naim Cheche. Super Penalitop made a substitution. Facundo Robak replaced Mauricio Jaizki. Super Penalitop's Zlatan Belkå was substituted for Hernan Cresenciano. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Dimo Zagorchin kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Facundo Robak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Claris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacob Dantas in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Super Penalitop getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Dimo Zagorchin hit a great ball. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. In the 90th minute, Dimo Zagorchin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliseo Alcocer scored 2-3 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Claris, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Peru's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
