When Cassius Byrne got free in front of the goal in the 27th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Michel Hendrickx was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Marco Day stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isaias Matas's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After some careless play in the USA defense, Isaias Matas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Day. The USA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Day should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 59th minute of play forced Olavarria FC's goalkeeper Michel Hendrickx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 60 minutes Olavarria FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cassius Byrne who took care of the corner kick. 64 minutes into the game, Catalino Rivarola was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olavarria FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave USA the free kick. Olavarria FC's Ervigio Ojeda was substituted for Isaias Matas. With his leg Marco Day managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Olavarria FC's Ervigio Ojeda fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 87 minutes into the match, Olavarria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Khalid Parry came free, but Michel Hendrickx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A very nice done corner allowed Diego Bradley to score against Michel Hendrickx in Olavarria FC's goal. 1-3 after 89 minutes. Ervigio Ojeda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Marco Day made a huge save. Faustino Bordon kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 96th minute of the match Jenson Smith sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Michel Hendrickx skillfully saved the ball.
