Ecuador's Luis Andino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fellipe Meira in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Superação's Fellipe Meira managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrézinho Mota got free with Julio Vera in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dênis Tepedino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Andrézinho Mota tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fellipe Meira came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Andrézinho Mota tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute Dênis Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andrézinho Mota made a kick off. Superação's Fellipe Meira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 52nd minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Superação's goalkeeper Fellipe Meira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Célio Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute, Agustín Saelices left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fellipe Meira having to interfere. The Superação fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
