Eduardo Fontirroig struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Carter Di Nino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bolivia. In the 19th minute Edmondo Lepori shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Freixa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Mariotti took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Camilo Freixa. Camilo Freixa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 31st minute, Angelo Mariotti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camilo Freixa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Camilo Freixa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Mariotti in the 34th minute of play. S.S.C. NAPOLI's Carter Di Nino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julio Chicote in the 38th minute of play. Mario Fernandino kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Angelo Mariotti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Camilo Freixa was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. If Mario Fernandino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angelo Mariotti to make the kick off. NAPOLI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eduardo Fontirroig helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bolivia getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Eduardo Fontirroig hit a great ball. Ciccio Moscatelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carter Di Nino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Chicote, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Mariotti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Camilo Freixa made a huge save. In the 64thth minute of the game Angelo Mariotti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bolivia's Camilo Freixa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emilio Fioriti kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After 66 played minutes, Bolivia's Mario Fernandino shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carter Di Nino came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bolivia reached it. If Alfonso de la Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Camilo Freixa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ciccio Moscatelli showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 74 minute of play. After 77 played minutes S.S.C. NAPOLI got a freekick which was hit by Bianco Giannico. A collision led to S.S.C. NAPOLI getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Anselmo Costantino hit a great ball. Eduardo Fontirroig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Carter Di Nino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 87 minutes, Anselmo Costantino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.S.C. NAPOLI and the Bolivia players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Bolivia booed when S.S.C. NAPOLI supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing S.S.C. NAPOLI would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
