Maximiliano Escribano succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 7th playminute. After a rather tough play, Chimpanserna FC's Peter Hääger got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 24th minute, Gunnar Hellström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chimpanserna FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gunnar Hellström in the 27th minute of play. After 46 minutes, Rickard Wallengren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chimpanserna FC and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Chimpanserna FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rickard Wallengren didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Seco to make the kick off. Maximiliano Escribano took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edmund Majman. Edmund Majman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camilo Franco in the 56th minute of play forced Chimpanserna FC's goalkeeper Edmund Majman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Edmund Majman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 77 played minutes Chimpanserna FC got a freekick which was hit by Peter Hääger. Camilo Covarrubias hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gunnar Hellström in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Björn Arvidsson kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Jaime Cazalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edmund Majman came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano. But to his dismay, Maximiliano Escribano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2.
