BOCA JUNIORS's Benny Stolpe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 12th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Cesar Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Macos Graciani hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Freddy Basajaun took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Dante Lacasa to make any attempt to save it. After 22 played minutes C.A. BOCA JUNIORS got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Montel. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benny Stolpe having to interfere. The supporters of Mexico booed when C.A. BOCA JUNIORS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erland Norberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great ball. C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's Benny Stolpe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Cadaval came free, but Benny Stolpe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's Benny Stolpe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 34th minute of play. When C.A. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 46th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's goalie and right to Facundo Cadaval. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Freddy Basajaun to make the kick off. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 52nd minute of play forced C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's goalkeeper Benny Stolpe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Felix Luque hit a great ball. Benny Stolpe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 54th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Benny Stolpe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Benny Stolpe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benny Stolpe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Benny Stolpe made a huge save. 77 minutes into the match, C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's goalkeeper Benny Stolpe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. Benny Stolpe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 82nd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Benny Stolpe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Benny Stolpe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Tafalla had several of the C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 87 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Benny Stolpe as he didn't even see the shot coming. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 90th minute, which Benny Stolpe however easily saved by the left post. 91 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's Benny Stolpe. Benny Stolpe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lautaro Mancebo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benny Stolpe having to make a save. Mexico played a much better game than C.A. BOCA JUNIORS and deserved their victory. The C.A. BOCA JUNIORS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
