An unexpectedly hard shot by Stasio Jerzyk in the 12th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stasio Jerzyk in the 19th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Antoni Kosel in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stasio Jerzyk in the 24th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stasio Jerzyk, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 29th minute Stasio Jerzyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Teofil Ludwa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teofil Ludwa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 36th minute, Luca Zorita fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Antoni Kosel, passed just outside the right post. In the 40th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoni Kosel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Antoni Kosel. Antoni Kosel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stasio Jerzyk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In a very dangerous position, a player in Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! Antoni Kosel had in the 56thth minute some difficulties stopping Joel Gaona's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antoni Kosel. Antoni Kosel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antoni Kosel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 59 minutes into the game, Duda Chaves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa. Duda Chaves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Duda Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Antoni Kosel came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Joel Gaona. But to his dismay, Joel Gaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 76th minute of play forced Grabo POGOŃ MKS Szczecin's goalkeeper Antoni Kosel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
