With a left leg Robustiano Gelmiro saved Sotelo AFC from getting behind. Siro Benvido could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. Robustiano Gelmiro came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 17th minute Cirilo Bembe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Pedro Indiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Chile's Orlando Casaus got a free kick in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Casaus in the 37th minute of play forced Sotelo AFC's goalkeeper Robustiano Gelmiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conrado Dimas kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Mariano Lacasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Robustiano Gelmiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Lacasa to strike the kick off in the second half. Sotelo AFC's Robustiano Gelmiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Sotelo AFC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siro Benvido in the 61st minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Håkan Skager left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sotelo AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Sotelo AFC made a substitution. Cui Liang Yue replaced Siro Benvido. Robustiano Gelmiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cui Liang Yue in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 81st minute of play forced Sotelo AFC's goalkeeper Robustiano Gelmiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cui Liang Yue had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cui Liang Yue, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cui Liang Yue in the 86th minute of play. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Cui Liang Yue sped through Chile's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. Sotelo AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cui Liang Yue in the 93rd minute. Sotelo AFC's Cui Liang Yue was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thiago Pliego in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
