When Sezen İlbey came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the YuSuF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sezen İlbey couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Alphonse struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Batu Ceylan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haiti. But to his dismay, Ernso Constant quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. With 79 minutes on the clock, Saint Jean Pierre commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 80th match minute, Haiti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saint Jean Pierre to maneuver through the defense. YuSuF's Sezen İlbey got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gencalp Erserim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haiti's attentive Jean Marie Alcius managed to snatch the ball when Ali Nejat Vehbi made a throw-in in the 95th minute of the game. If Philippe Ambroise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Haiti players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
