The crowd rose to their feet as Jamaica's Finlay Stair slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Batu Ceylan. That made the score 2-2 after 40 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romon Oliver got free with Batu Ceylan in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Batu Ceylan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romon Oliver, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The referee felt a red card was in order, 56 minutes into the game, when Sezen İlbey put in a rough tackle. In the 56th match minute, YuSuF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sezen İlbey to maneuver through the defense. Gencalp Erserim kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Gencalp Erserim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jamaica's Finlay Stair got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Batur Demir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, YuSuF's goal looked a bit too open when Finlay Stair came free, but Batu Ceylan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
