Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Isaias Matas started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Olavarria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Mina came free, but Michel Hendrickx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michel Hendrickx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 7th minute of play. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaias Matas in the 11th minute of play. Isaias Matas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 24th minute of play forced Olavarria FC's goalkeeper Michel Hendrickx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Olavarria FC's goalkeeper Michel Hendrickx, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Hendrickx having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Olavarria FC got a freekick which was hit by Isaias Matas. Olavarria FC's Michel Hendrickx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 55th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Olavarria FC's Isaias Matas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolando Noboa. That made the score 0-2 after 58 minutes of play. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaias Matas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Jenő Menszátor in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Olavarria FC's goalie prevented a goal. Rolando Noboa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ervigio Ojeda showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 73 minute of play. Luz Tejedor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Peru booed when Olavarria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thys Lenoir didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olavarria FC's Michel Hendrickx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 81st minute of play. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Michel Hendrickx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. If Ervigio Ojeda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Olavarria FC's goalkeeper Michel Hendrickx, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Catalino Rivarola might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolando Noboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Catalino Rivarola ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Olavarria FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
