Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilian Zdraşcu having to interfere. After 17 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emilian Zdraşcu was left in no man's land by his defense there! 20 minutes into the game, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Mai Ang Xi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. If Agustín Di Paolo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mai Ang Xi in the 33rd minute of play. Emilian Zdraşcu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 34th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Mai Ang Xi came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's 夏天 杨坚 in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 45th match minute, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costel Frânculescu to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 夏天 杨坚 to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Emilian Zdraşcu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, 夏天 杨坚 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mai Ang Xi in the 69th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilian Zdraşcu made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of -BZF- Fc Gheraseni booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when 夏天 杨坚 came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Emilian Zdraşcu got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 夏天 杨坚, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tudor Verzea in the 96th minute of play. The -BZF- Fc Gheraseni players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
