He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Red Sox reached it. 34 minutes into the match, Red Sox's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Alfredo Lucantoni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mexico and the Red Sox players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lautaro Mancebo hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. The supporters of Red Sox booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Pan in the 46th minute of the match. The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Pan, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, Flavio Riva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fedele Hell's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. In the 75th minute of the match, Joel Gaona got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alfredo Lucantoni was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 77 minutes into the game, Red Sox's Claudio Pan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When Alex Cirigliano fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Red Sox's protests and gave Alex Cirigliano a yellow card for diving instead. Alex Cirigliano kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 84th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Facundo Cadaval fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alfredo Lucantoni quite easily take care of the ball. Red Sox's Alfredo Lucantoni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 89th minute of play forced Red Sox's goalkeeper Alfredo Lucantoni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Claudio Pan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudio Pan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Facundo Cadaval hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Red Sox fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mexico had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
