In the 3rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. 4 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Siro Garoa came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Siro Garoa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 10th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwan Jazowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siro Garoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iwan Jazowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 20 played minutes beşiktaş A.Ş. got a freekick which was hit by Alkan Acar. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siro Garoa in the 22nd minute of the match. beşiktaş A.Ş.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by 龚永希 in the 24th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Siro Garoa. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Siro Garoa in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. 31 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Napoleon Maruda. In the 32nd minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. beşiktaş A.Ş.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Jose Correa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but beşiktaş A.Ş.'s Iwan Jazowski did a great save. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alkan Acar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of beşiktaş A.Ş. booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 45th minute, took the ball on the long shot from 龚永希. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iwan Jazowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute of the match 龚永希 sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. Iwan Jazowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 66th minute. In the 68thth minute of the game Siro Garoa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siro Garoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Venezuela booed when beşiktaş A.Ş. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siro Garoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, beşiktaş A.Ş.'s Turgay Yaslı got a free kick in the 77th minute. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Siro Garoa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the beşiktaş A.Ş. players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
