In the 14th minute of the match Tomas Illescas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Moisés Novaes skillfully saved the ball. 21 minutes into the game, Jonathan Venegas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JFSP the free kick. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Baykal Yanal might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baykal Yanal ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when JFSP's Baykal Yanal shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Venezuela's attentive Salvador Gisbert managed to snatch the ball when Maurício Pires made a throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baykal Yanal, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Moisés Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 34th minute of play. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Cenap İğdemir hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Henrique Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Alex Chicote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

After 52 played minutes JFSP got a freekick which was hit by Adalberto Cruz. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Moisés Novaes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Baykal Yanal came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the JFSP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baykal Yanal couldn't finish the play. 64 minutes into the game, Maurício Pires was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. JFSP's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. A collision led to JFSP getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Maurício Pires hit a great ball. Moisés Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of JFSP booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Baykal Yanal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. JFSP's Roberto Pato was substituted for Baykal Yanal. After a rather tough play, JFSP's Cenap İğdemir got a free kick in the 75th minute. Maurício Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd match minute, JFSP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurício Pires to maneuver through the defense. After 87 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. A throw-in in the 95th minute of the game was made by Laerte Barbosa with Henrique Teixeira as target, who quickly passed the ball forward.
