Elvio Lucado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. In the 6th minute of the match Peru got a corner. O rey Iván's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Joaquin Prats got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aristides Barea quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Aristides Barea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Luz Tejedor scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aristides Barea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 16th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aristides Barea was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 22 played minutes O rey Iván got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Garaona. 24 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aristides Barea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihály Fülep in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Peru's Eliseo Mina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aristides Barea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Franz Kafka got a throw-in 37 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Elvio Lucado. Aristides Barea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the game, O rey Iván's Augusto Fliz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The throw-in from Franz Kafka in the 43rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Mihály Fülep managed to get in a good position for a shot. O rey Iván's supporters rose to their feet, but Mihály Fülep was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Noboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. O rey Iván made a substitution. Ivan Lizar replaced Mihály Fülep. O rey Iván made a substitution. Dionisio Orland replaced Modesto Garcia. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Augusto Fliz made a kick off. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dionisio Orland in the 54th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Aristides Barea successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Fliz, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Luz Tejedor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Aristides Barea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lino Aznar kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. With a little luck, O rey Iván's Aristides Barea got control of the ball when Luz Tejedor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Augusto Fliz went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, O rey Iván's Lino Aznar got a free kick in the 79th minute. A nice corner shot did that Luz Tejedor got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aristides Barea quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliseo Mina in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aristides Barea saved O rey Iván from getting behind. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. The supporters of Peru booed when O rey Iván was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franz Kafka didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind O rey Iván's goalkeeper Aristides Barea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 90 minutes into the game, Dionisio Orland was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. O rey Iván's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peru the free kick. After 91 played minutes O rey Iván got a freekick which was hit by Dionisio Orland. Franz Kafka made in the 95th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Simon Hug however managed to control. Aristides Barea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Tenorio in the 97th minute of the match.
