Witalis Kornaszewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of MILAN booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. MILAN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 43 minutes into the match, MILAN's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Szymon Erland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Gao Feng Ning was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MILAN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. During this time MILAN's players had a chance to rest. The corner led MILAN's José Faria to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Szymon Erland quite easily take care of the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Szymon Erland firmly grabbed it by the left post. Daniel Zorita was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Szymon Erland was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. MILAN's Szymon Erland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 80th minute of play. After having played for 84 minutes, Gao Feng Ning managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MILAN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gao Feng Ning was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
