In the 18th minute, Eleuterio Chabier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Defensores del Ángel Gris fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 24 minutes into the game, Eleuterio Chabier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Alex Chicote a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Gaspar Chaime's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaspar Chaime helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th minute, Gaspar Chaime hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Nicolás DAndrea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. The Venezuela players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Defensores del Ángel Gris were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Serafim Catranides stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Macias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolás DAndrea having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Defensores del Ángel Gris's Gabi Golanski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-3 after 73 minutes of play. In the 77th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Romulo Blai in the 86th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. Nicolás DAndrea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute Serafim Catranides shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Serafim Catranides came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Defensores del Ángel Gris fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serafim Catranides couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Defensores del Ángel Gris had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
