Bent Streyder blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bent Streyder got free with Dante Lacasa in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The throw-in from Leonardo Leoz in the 19th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Holmkjar Hotspurs's Holger Ørnholm. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 20th minute of play forced Holmkjar Hotspurs's goalkeeper Tristan Nordlet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elmar Lexbo in the 24th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Holmkjar Hotspurs getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Ove Makenhauer hit a great ball. In the 28th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristan Nordlet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Luca Rouco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tristan Nordlet quite easily take care of the ball. In the 33rd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristan Nordlet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Holmkjar Hotspurs's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Holmkjar Hotspurs's Tristan Nordlet did a great save. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 35th minute. Holmkjar Hotspurs's Konrad Reumert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leonardo Leoz in the 37 minute of the game. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Bent Streyder tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joel Gaona made in the 43rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Facundo Cadaval however managed to control. Tristan Nordlet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bent Streyder made a kick off. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Bent Streyder sped through Mexico's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bent Streyder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Holmkjar Hotspurs made a substitution. Kurd Frydenholt replaced Franck Lydicksen. 77 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Holmkjar Hotspurs's Tristan Nordlet. Tristan Nordlet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 80 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Elmar Lexbo came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 86 minutes, Elmar Lexbo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Holmkjar Hotspurs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elmar Lexbo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Magnus Steinwart scored 3-1 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mexico's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Holmkjar Hotspurs had won, even though Mexico had held more of the ball.
