Amadeu Rocha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vendel Sass read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Aírton Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Magno Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Levente Pucheli in the 9th minute of play. If Amadeu Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Mamutes EC defense, Levente Pucheli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Magno Correia. The Mamutes EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Magno Correia should have stopped the shot. Dave Panno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 23 minutes into the match, Lengyeltóti Örömfoci SE's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Panno came free, but Vendel Sass reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vendel Sass showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Panno in the 37th minute of the match. Magno Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gedeon Fenyves, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Panno in the 41st minute of play forced Lengyeltóti Örömfoci SE's goalkeeper Vendel Sass to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dave Panno in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vendel Sass saved Lengyeltóti Örömfoci SE from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Dave Panno put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Vendel Sass. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dave Panno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Dave Panno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Vendel Sass was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Dave Panno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vendel Sass was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Dave Panno struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Vendel Sass didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mamutes EC. In the 60th minute, Csaba Nyitrai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vendel Sass showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Panno in the 64th minute of the match. Lengyeltóti Örömfoci SE were awarded a corner in the 81th minute after Mamutes EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alex Zádori took the corner. Alex Zádori could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Magno Correia made a huge save. In the 88th minute Dave Panno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vendel Sass saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Lengyeltóti Örömfoci SE booed when Mamutes EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dave Panno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mamutes EC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
