But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Aznar couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute Günther Doty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bambang Sagala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Golden Dragon FC's Bambang Sagala proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Golden Dragon FC from getting a goal against them. Frank Frankfurter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Etor in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Günther Doty in the 37th minute of play forced Golden Dragon FC's goalkeeper Bambang Sagala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bambang Sagala came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Günther Doty. But to his dismay, Günther Doty quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Frank Frankfurter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisito Perrando, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Golden Dragon FC's goalkeeper Bambang Sagala, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Golden Dragon FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chinese CJ Youth Academy.
