Emil Wincek ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in La Società Sport Osasco's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Santos came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilvan Maranhense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to La Società Sport Osasco getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Gilvan Maranhense hit a great ball. Many of Mexico's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mexico may have spent more time on the ball, but La Società Sport Osasco were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
