The PIRATAS TFP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cacá Bertassi should have stopped the shot. Jorge Magrina got a throw-in 36 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Marco Tamayo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Fernandino in the 40th minute of play forced PIRATAS TFP's goalkeeper Cacá Bertassi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PIRATAS TFP's João Vítor de Medeiros quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Joshua Curbelo made in the 88th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Abram Luque immediately put the ball in play. In the 89th match minute, PIRATAS TFP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Dantas to maneuver through the defense. Mateo Leguizamo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 90th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Moises Fernandino might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cacá Bertassi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moises Fernandino ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as El Salvador's Moises Fernandino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cacá Bertassi. That made the score 0-9 after 95 minutes of play. When the match was over El Salvador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than PIRATAS TFP throughout the match.
