Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Damian Oneț started the match with the kick off. A collision led to ⚽RAE⚽ getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Alin Moiș hit a great ball. Ernest Enescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Puig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 5th minute of play forced ⚽RAE⚽'s goalkeeper Ernest Enescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 7 played minutes ⚽RAE⚽ got a freekick which was hit by Damian Oneț. After 10 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. The supporters of ⚽RAE⚽ booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to ⚽RAE⚽ getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Iacob Nedelcea hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the game, Damian Oneț recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Damian Oneț showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 27th minute, Abel Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 28 minutes, Damian Oneț managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ⚽RAE⚽'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Damian Oneț was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxim Șerbulea in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Puig in the 34th minute of play forced ⚽RAE⚽'s goalkeeper Ernest Enescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Maxim Șerbulea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Maxim Șerbulea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st minute Eliseo Noboa suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 47th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Rubio to maneuver through the defense. ⚽RAE⚽'s Nicodim Ibrișin was substituted for Robert Covaliu. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Oneț in the 55th minute of the match. Lautaro Puig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Ernest Enescu made a huge save. Axel Tasis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 73rdth minute, Ernest Enescu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ernest Enescu made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Lautaro Puig sent off a good shot on target. ⚽RAE⚽'s Damian Oneț got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 81 minutes of play, ⚽RAE⚽'s Maxim Șerbulea made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of ⚽RAE⚽ booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ⚽RAE⚽ fully deserved thier win.
