Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Albano Oliverio started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd match minute, BWANA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Suarez to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 5th minute. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Nestor Mikeldi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. BWANA FC's Nestor Mikeldi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute of play. Simon Suarez charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Simon Suarez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th minute, Simon Suarez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in BWANA FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Mikeldi came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Aquiles Honesto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Nestor Mikeldi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 29th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Angelino Mikolas tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Nestor Mikeldi. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-1 in the 30th minute. In the 32nd minute, Ecuador's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Albano Oliverio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 34 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Nestor Mikeldi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 37th minute of the match, Albano Oliverio got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Froilan Abascal kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Angelino Mikolas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Nestor Mikeldi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Nestor Mikeldi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 52nd minute of the match. After having played for 54 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, BWANA FC's Nestor Mikeldi got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Agustín Saelices came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Saelices couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nestor Mikeldi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. BWANA FC's Nestor Mikeldi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save BWANA FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Nestor Mikeldi in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nestor Mikeldi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nestor Mikeldi could save by the left post. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albano Oliverio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Nestor Mikeldi made a huge save. Domingos Jusepe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, BWANA FC's goalkeeper Nestor Mikeldi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Nestor Mikeldi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 93rd minute. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
