Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nedko Tzokev started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Nedko Tzokev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Negri having to interfere. With a little luck, Plan B's Ismael Negri got control of the ball when Lautaro Puig tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 15th minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute of the match Ernst Rolf sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. Ismael Negri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Bennvar Nikkinen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 20 minutes into the game, Nedko Tzokev cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ismael Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 25th minute of the match. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nedko Tzokev in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Nedko Tzokev made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Bennvar Nikkinen took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 38 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Nedko Tzokev came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nedko Tzokev in the 39th minute of play. Juan Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Nedko Tzokev scored 0-4 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 46 minutes, Michael Stipe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Plan B and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th minute, Michael Stipe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Plan B getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Peter Buck hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Plan B was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernst Rolf didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute, Ingvar Pihlblad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, Nedko Tzokev had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nedko Tzokev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Lautaro Puig's late challenge caught a Plan B's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lautaro Puig helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute of the match Juan Rubio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ismael Negri showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Nedko Tzokev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nedko Tzokev got free with Benito Sanz in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bennvar Nikkinen might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bennvar Nikkinen ran back to his position shaking his head. 72 minutes into the match, Bennvar Nikkinen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. After having played for 90 minutes, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Puig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nedko Tzokev in the 92nd minute of play. Bennvar Nikkinen struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Plan B. When the match was over Plan B could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Costa Rica throughout the match.
