Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th minute of the match Mountainhammer United got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mårten Olsman ran over to the corner to take the kick. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christoffer Häll, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roar Klev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Roar Klev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 24th minute of play forced Mountainhammer United's goalkeeper Roar Klev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Arne Back kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. In the 30th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roar Klev was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. In the 36th match minute, Mountainhammer United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne Back to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. After 40 played minutes Mountainhammer United got a freekick which was hit by Eddie Hultstrand. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roar Klev. Mountainhammer United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute, Arne Back left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mountainhammer United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Roar Klev could save by the left post. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Roar Klev came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 62nd minute. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mountainhammer United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Mountainhammer United's Roar Klev managed to reach the ball for a save. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne Back in the 71st minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aron Blom in the 72nd minute of play. Roar Klev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 76th minute. After 81 played minutes Mountainhammer United got a freekick which was hit by Christoffer Häll. Mountainhammer United's Roar Klev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Mountainhammer United from getting a goal against them. In the 87th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roar Klev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Mountainhammer United defense, Felix Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roar Klev. The Mountainhammer United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roar Klev should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Mountainhammer United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aron Blom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador played a much better game than Mountainhammer United and deserved their victory. The Mountainhammer United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
