Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zygmunt Koprowski having to interfere. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 9 minutes, Maxim Sfetcu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BVB 09 and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th minute, Maxim Sfetcu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute Maxim Sfetcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Zygmunt Koprowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. BVB 09's Zygmunt Koprowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 24th minute of play. Francisc Bîndean could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. When Aurelian Jucan fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BVB 09's protests and gave Aurelian Jucan a yellow card for diving instead. 30 minutes into the match, BVB 09's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Zygmunt Koprowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Francisc Bîndean tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maxim Sfetcu scored 1-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zygmunt Koprowski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 41st minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 44th minute of play forced BVB 09's goalkeeper Zygmunt Koprowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The supporters of Mexico booed when BVB 09 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Avram Iurea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisc Bîndean in the 62nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Zygmunt Koprowski in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. BVB 09's Matei Chelaru was substituted for Francisc Bîndean. In the 69th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zygmunt Koprowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 minutes BVB 09's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Zygmunt Koprowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Zygmunt Koprowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 76 played minutes BVB 09 got a freekick which was hit by Maxim Sfetcu. Luca Zorita took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zygmunt Koprowski. Zygmunt Koprowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 83rd minute Matei Chelaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luca Zorita in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zygmunt Koprowski saved BVB 09 from getting behind. In the 85th minute Matei Chelaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Matei Chelaru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. BVB 09's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Alberto Tafalla scored to the left of an out of position Zygmunt Koprowski, making the score, 2-4. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by BVB 09's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than BVB 09 throughout the match.
