Celso Javiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Terry Jamieson sent off a good shot on target. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Terry Jamieson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Javiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Terry Jamieson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terry Jamieson in the 29th minute of play. Eliseo Mina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celso Javiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Celso Javiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the match, Milferio's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Celso Javiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Alonso Berganza hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonatan Iraitz got free with Rolando Noboa in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. In the 68th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Celso Javiar in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luz Tejedor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celso Javiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Milferio made a substitution. Enzo Tono replaced Lucjan Degutis. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonatan Iraitz in the 83rd minute of play. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Avellaneda in the 93rd minute of play. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Prospero Avellaneda went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Milferio were victorious despite being under pressure from Peru for much of the match.
