An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 4th minute of play forced O MOTIVO ⚽'s goalkeeper Erivaldo Hermes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrew Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Erivaldo Hermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to O MOTIVO ⚽ getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Otávio Leme hit a great ball. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Mazinho Hermes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Daniel Bertoni scored 2-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th minute, Yan Penha reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 3-0. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Kazimierz Rosen hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Erivaldo Hermes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 32 minutes into the game, Yan Penha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Erivaldo Hermes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erivaldo Hermes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 42nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Yan Penha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Yan Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. O MOTIVO ⚽'s Erivaldo Hermes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Yan Penha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Yan Penha came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Andrew Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. O MOTIVO ⚽'s Erivaldo Hermes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save O MOTIVO ⚽ from getting a goal against them. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erivaldo Hermes saved O MOTIVO ⚽ from getting behind. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. In the 74thth minute of the game Andrew Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emili Lean made a great header on O MOTIVO ⚽'s corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of O MOTIVO ⚽ booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erivaldo Hermes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, O MOTIVO ⚽'s Erivaldo Hermes got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Rigoberto Mina fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Rigoberto Mina a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. O MOTIVO ⚽ made a substitution. Vito Hoffmann replaced Yan Penha. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erivaldo Hermes having to make a save. When the referee ended the match the O MOTIVO ⚽ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
