Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Emilio Munio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Mina in the 4th minute of play. The supporters of Peru booed when Acercate Y Patea de Lejos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Erramun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilio Munio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 7th minute of play. 13 minutes in the game Emmanuel Reyes did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Julian Murillo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 14th minute of play forced Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's goalkeeper Emilio Munio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 minutes Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Moises Gayoso heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Emilio Munio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Gayoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Emilio Munio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Emilio Munio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Emilio Munio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 23rd minute of play. Emilio Munio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emilio Munio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Federico Colas in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. With a little luck, Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Emilio Munio got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Emilio Munio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Acercate Y Patea de Lejos from getting a goal against them. Luz Tejedor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos made a substitution. Javier Milei replaced Teodosio Bilintx. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Kraig Rowley was substituted for Federico Colas. Julian Murillo charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julian Murillo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. 74 minutes into the game, Javier Milei threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Emilio Munio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. 80 minutes into the match, Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Emilio Munio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85thth minute of the game Kraig Rowley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emilio Munio was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Julian Murillo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Julian Murillo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. With a little luck, Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Emilio Munio got control of the ball when Rafael Gallo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peru played a much better game than Acercate Y Patea de Lejos and deserved their victory. The Acercate Y Patea de Lejos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
