Mihnea Suşu came out and tried to block the shot, but Francisco Seco slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. In the 6th match minute, FC Dacii Liberi - IASI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaizko Abaurre to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 10 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 14 minutes into the game, Gaizko Abaurre cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Joaquin Gayoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Gaizko Abaurre's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. 25 minutes into the match, Gaizko Abaurre had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaizko Abaurre was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Dacii Liberi - IASI. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Dacii Liberi - IASI's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jaime Cazalla was slow to take the kick. During this time Uruguay's players had a chance to rest. Alberto Gisbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Mihnea Suşu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mihnea Suşu made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Seco to strike the kick off in the second half. FC Dacii Liberi - IASI's Mihnea Suşu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Dacii Liberi - IASI's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jaime Cazalla was slow to take the kick. During this time Uruguay's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert to fire away a dangerous shot which Mihnea Suşu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When FC Dacii Liberi - IASI's Gaizko Abaurre in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Mihnea Suşu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. FC Dacii Liberi - IASI's Gaizko Abaurre was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 65th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 71st minute of play forced FC Dacii Liberi - IASI's goalkeeper Mihnea Suşu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a left leg Mihnea Suşu saved FC Dacii Liberi - IASI from getting behind. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Dacii Liberi - IASI had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
