Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Tafalla in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alessio Carta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alessio Carta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alessio Carta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 22nd minute of play. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Alessio Carta in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
