Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Josué Pinheiro made the kick off which started today's match. When Marcinho Sena came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Matungo Gaúcho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcinho Sena couldn't finish the play. Josué Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Colombia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Josué Pinheiro scored to the left of an out of position Pedro Manzanares, making the score, 1-0. Ademir Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Josué Pinheiro took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Pedro Manzanares to make any attempt to save it. After 22 minutes Colombia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gilmar Borges who took care of the corner kick. Gilmar Borges made a great header on Matungo Gaúcho's corner, it was just that Colombia's Pedro Manzanares managed to reach the ball for a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Montenegro in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ademir Baptista saved Matungo Gaúcho from getting behind. Ademir Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Mastache in the 27th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcinho Sena got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 34 minutes of play, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ademir Baptista was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kevin Mastache kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Matungo Gaúcho's goalkeeper Ademir Baptista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josué Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Kevin Mastache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matungo Gaúcho's Diego Baresi was substituted for Renan de Senna. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademir Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Florinio in the 55th minute of play. Gilmar Borges struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matungo Gaúcho. 58 minutes into the match, Matungo Gaúcho's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Ademir Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Josué Pinheiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Manzanares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Josué Pinheiro ran back to his position shaking his head. After 59 minutes, Josué Pinheiro made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ademir Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 66 minutes into the match, Matungo Gaúcho's goalkeeper Ademir Baptista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Montenegro. A collision led to Matungo Gaúcho getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Henk van Putten hit a great ball. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. In the 69th minute, Henk van Putten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celedonio Florinio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Matungo Gaúcho's Josué Pinheiro in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Colombia's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Matungo Gaúcho booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Indiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Luis Cazalla got a free kick in the 78th minute. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilmar Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Santino Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ademir Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matungo Gaúcho's Ademir Baptista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Matungo Gaúcho from getting a goal against them. 88 minutes into the game, Matungo Gaúcho's Marcinho Sena nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. 94 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Marcinho Sena came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
