The referee ignored Bantayan BK's protests and gave Stig Sjödin a yellow card for diving instead. Sergej Bártů showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Pardo in the 6th minute of the match. Viggo Hellsing took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig Sjödin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Xavier Zoido hit a great ball. A collision led to Bantayan BK getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Sixten Wahlnäs hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Sergej Bártů made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Jaime Pardo sent off a good shot on target. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Bantayan BK's Niklas Lundqvist was substituted for Stig Sjödin. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime Pardo made a kick off. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niklas Lundqvist in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th minute, Jaime Pardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paraguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Paraguay from getting a goal against them. Sergej Bártů stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Pardo's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Harald Wikander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Bantayan BK's Niklas Lundqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Nores narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Sixten Wahlnäs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute Harald Wikander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Iker Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paraguay were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
