If Bror Lundqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Dalgren got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. David Dalgren in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 15 minutes into the match, David Dalgren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Dalgren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bror Lundqvist got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 19 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vilhelm Brander saved Kronan from getting behind. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 25th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Venezuela's Patricio Costa managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Edgar Vallin in the 28 minute of the game. Vilhelm Brander didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Vilhelm Brander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Quexal hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Camille Drame made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Tomas Illescas succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-2 in the 56th playminute. After 59 minutes, Guillermo Mariano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Kronan players grew even worse after the yellow card. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Bror Lundqvist took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. In the 64th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 73 minutes into the game, Jose Correa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kronan the free kick. After 73 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. The supporters of Kronan booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils Mikaelsson in the 80th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Camille Drame ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. Jonathan Quexal's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Quexal helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Kronan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Quexal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Bror Lundqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Bror Lundqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 95 minutes into the match, Camille Drame had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Camille Drame was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-2. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
