Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Börje Ekström in the 21 minute of the game. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Luz Tejedor made a precise shot to the right of Kalle Askberg. Sundborn IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 27 minutes into the game, Börje Ekström threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Alonso Berganza quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alf Hansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Sundborn IF made a substitution. Aqşin Aläkbärov replaced Jan Håning. An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by Eliseo Mina got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ted Holmgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. The supporters of Peru booed when Sundborn IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erland Kvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kalle Askberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Sundborn IF made a substitution. Sundborn IF's Kalle Askberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Sundborn IF from getting a goal against them. Peru's attentive Alonso Berganza managed to snatch the ball when Börje Ekström made a throw-in in the 91st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Gallo in the 94th minute of play forced Sundborn IF's goalkeeper Kalle Askberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Peru left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sundborn IF.
