The supporters of Batalionul U23 Dorobanti booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximiliano Escribano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Karl-Michael Brask kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joaquin Gayoso. That made the score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Maximiliano Escribano might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flavio Peter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After a rather tough play, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Paul Stoian got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 19 played minutes, Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Flavio Peter came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Uruguay reached it. Flavio Peter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Karl-Michael Brask's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Joaquin Gayoso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 25 played minutes Batalionul U23 Dorobanti got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Michael Brask. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Jorge Sainz hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 33rd minute of play forced Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goalkeeper Flavio Peter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Peter came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Francisco Seco. But to his dismay, Francisco Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Karl-Michael Brask struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Batalionul U23 Dorobanti. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Flavio Peter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl-Michael Brask.

53 minutes into the match, Karl-Michael Brask had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karl-Michael Brask was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 56 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Michael Brask came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Peter having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Flavio Peter in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ionuț Contra made in the 64th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. In the 76th minute Karl-Michael Brask shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Karl-Michael Brask sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alberto Gisbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Flavio Peter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavio Peter was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Francisco Seco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 81 minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Karl-Michael Brask had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karl-Michael Brask was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Michael Brask in the 90th minute of play. Karl-Michael Brask sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
