Ondřej Bernátek kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Mazáč having to interfere. Jan Mazáč showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ondřej Bernátek got free with Benito Sanz in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Hugo Ferrant fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Hugo Ferrant a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FK Kujebáci booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Ferrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Puig charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lautaro Puig the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute Lautaro Puig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Mazáč saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseo Noboa struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Jan Mazáč didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when FK Kujebáci was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vendelín Vošický didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jan Mazáč was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Eliseo Noboa came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Noboa couldn't finish the play. After 46 played minutes FK Kujebáci got a freekick which was hit by Vendelín Vošický. FK Kujebáci's Jan Mazáč played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 47th minute of play.

A sloppy throw-in by Hugo Ferrant in the 53rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FK Kujebáci's Vendelín Vošický. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan Mazáč made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Axel Tasis sent off a good shot on target. In the 60th minute of the match Efrain Moruga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jan Mazáč skillfully saved the ball. Hugo Ferrant made in the 64th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FK Kujebáci's Vendelín Vošický. Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FK Kujebáci's Erik Pazdera was substituted for Bohdan Procházka. After some careless play in the FK Kujebáci defense, Lautaro Puig kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Mazáč. The FK Kujebáci fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Mazáč should have stopped the shot. A collision led to FK Kujebáci getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vlastimil Plšek in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Costa Rica had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
