Dawid Bulkiewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 20th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dawid Bulkiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 24 minutes, Olivér Marty managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orzeł Tychy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olivér Marty was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olivér Marty might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Szczepan Oliszewski ran back to his position shaking his head. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

If Aureliusz Dobilas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 56 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 95th minute of play forced Orzeł Tychy's goalkeeper Dawid Bulkiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
