The Dreamland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernard Niemojewski should have stopped the shot. Tolek Sidorowicz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 11 minutes into the match, Duke Levy notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Dreamland getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Jacek Mikulski hit a great ball. Bernard Niemojewski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernard Niemojewski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 26th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Dreamland's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Dreamland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duke Levy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Duke Levy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bernard Niemojewski, 1-5. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remigiusz Siembab during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
