Efraim Gilabert lost his temper 3 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Rolando Noboa had in the 4thth minute some difficulties stopping Pär Kinnman's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball In the 4th minute, Pär Kinnman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Rolf Pettersson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luz Tejedor went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 23rd minute, Luz Tejedor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. A sloppy throw-in by Claes Gråberg in the 28th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Alonso Berganza. After a rather tough play, Peru's Milagros Fraga got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 35th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Luz Tejedor hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. In the 36th minute, Eliseo Mina made a precise shot to the right of Rolf Pettersson. Fusk&Bygg AB's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. After a defensive mix-up in Fusk&Bygg AB's zone, Eliseo Mina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolf Pettersson came out of the goal and Eliseo Mina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Edgar Ferm made the kick off in the second half. Luz Tejedor took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 51st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rolf Pettersson. Fusk&Bygg AB's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Julian Murillo hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Fagrell in the 56th minute of play. Rolf Pettersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luz Tejedor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolf Pettersson having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Luz Tejedor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolf Pettersson. Fusk&Bygg AB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luz Tejedor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. Luz Tejedor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolf Pettersson having to interfere. In the 78th minute of the game Claes Gråberg made a throw-in which Inge Forsell played forward. A throw-in in the 80th minute of the game was made by Torgny Samuelsson with Claes Gråberg as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Eliseo Alcocer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Rolf Pettersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
