Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Enzo Herrero kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Ona Somrient FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernan Alcantara didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claude Erosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Ona Somrient FC defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claude Erosa. The Ona Somrient FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claude Erosa should have stopped the shot. Claude Erosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of the match. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Ona Somrient FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Juan Sebastián Puig heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 39 minutes into the match, Ona Somrient FC's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Claude Erosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Enzo Herrero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kobe Bryant in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Herrero in the 66th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 68 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nechifor Hârșu who took care of the corner kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kobe Bryant in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 78 minutes into the game, Ona Somrient FC's Kobe Bryant nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nechifor Hârșu was slow to take the kick. During this time Ona Somrient FC's players had a chance to rest. Ona Somrient FC's Kobe Bryant was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 86 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nechifor Hârșu who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Ona Somrient FC's corner Nechifor Hârșu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. In the 95th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute, Enzo Herrero made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ona Somrient FC had won after a very even match.
